<p>In less than a week, on March 1, it will be my birthday. (I’m  turning 29 again, btw.) Three years ago, I was planning the CD release  party of BURN IN HELL which would take place on my birthday. Knowing  full well that there would be a large attendance of friends who wanted  to wish me well on both accounts, I girded myself for the inevitable  cake, Birthday serenade, and gifts that would have to be opened in a  public setting.</p>

<p>I don’t have much to add to this except that Mark Wahlberg has  continued to chew on his foot in regards to the media. Over and over  again he desecrates the lives and memories of people-no heroes&nbsp; who may  have done far less but stand for far more then he could ever dream of.</p>
<p>I pray for this silly clown as I am convinced there is some serious  PTSD involved. But I am even more concerned with the survivors. Not only  of 9/11 and the scourge of AIDS but of his so-called films as well.</p>

<p>I am convinced that (in no particular order) Patti Smith, The Runaways, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Elvis Costello, Lou Reed, Mick Jagger and more saved me from inevitable suicide. Literally.</p>
<p>I was a miserable, confused, abused and bullied kid. Prior to knowing Jesus, rock and roll was my church and I was a faithful disciple. I attended concerts almost nightly, was never without a record (or record player) and a song was always on my lips.</p>

<p>My song, TEN TO ONE has a bit of a spotty history, one that changes, I’m sure, depending on who is recounting it.&nbsp; Well, my blog, my truth…</p>
<p>For me, it’s like the entire Fleetwood Mac “Rumors” record all in one song.&nbsp; It’s credited to three of us but it actually passed through six sets of hands-four actually, just two of us twice.&nbsp; And it precipitated a break up, a divorce of sorts.
